I've seen enough of your Susan to say that you're really fantastic with her. I really like how you've been incorporating things from the book into your movie version of her to fill out the blanks. We don't see much turmoil from Susan in the movies, and I think you've given her more depth by showing her insecurities. I especially like the bit of distance between her and the rest of Pevensies when it comes to Narnia. Her experiences there weren't as golden as theirs, like you said, and that's what ultimately separates her from them.
I admit I was a little on the fence with Susan after reading the books, especially in Prince Caspian, when she seemed to be the one raising a lot of fuss. That just might be Lewis' writing, now that I think about it, since he doesn't go much into character thought and emotions. Basically, you managed to do something he didn't: really like Susan's character. I liked her before, but I love her now, because you've really taken this canon and shown me a side of her I didn't notice before. She might be a king or queen of legend like the others, but she's still just a human with flaws like everyone else. Past all the fussiness, she's a young woman who loves her siblings, and just doesn't love Narnia as much as she does them.
You've done a wonderful job of writing her, and I'm really honoured to have you as a castmate ♥
...I. This is just so lovely to receive and read, Kamilah! Thank you so much :D I admit I sometimes feel a bit unsure with Susan given that I'm taking her from the movies since they are quite notorious with flimsy, almost bare-boned characterizations that sometimes contradict the books themselves, or that some of my headcanons about Su's experiences in Narnia don't quite gel with everyone else's perceptions of the magical land itself, but.
Again, thank you! And I'm really glad for that special moment in time when you enabled me into Asgard. Through that, I met you and Kay and you guys really make my RP experience all the more fun and richer ♥ Here's to more castmate shenanigans!
